A Student's Guide to Transforming the World

Image
As a student, wanting to change the world is a noble and inspiring goal. However, the journey to make a difference often begins with ourselves.  First and foremost, it's important to understand that change starts within. By examining our own thoughts, behaviors, and values, we can identify areas where we can improve and grow. As a student, you have the opportunity to cultivate positive habits, such as being more compassionate, volunteering, or advocating for important causes. These small steps can have a ripple effect and inspire others around you. Secondly, focus on your immediate surroundings. Look for ways to make a difference in your school, community, or even your own family. You can organize a recycling drive, tutor younger students, or participate in community clean-up events. By addressing the needs in your local environment, you can create tangible and meaningful change. Furthermore, educate yourself on the issues that matter to you. As a student, you have access...

CBR

Image
Our journey in making a Community-Based Research (CBR) project was filled with learning and discovery. One sunny day, we met a tourist guide near the Bantay Bell Tower, and decided to interview him. He shared fascinating stories about the history of Bantay, including the rich heritage of the Bantay Church. We listened attentively as he recounted tales of the past, soaking in the knowledge about our community.  Being with my groupmates was awesome because everyone was helpful. We all worked together to make sure we understood everything the tourist guide told us. It was great to see everyone cooperating and working as a team. Through this journey, we not only gained insights into the history of our community but also strengthened our bonds as a group. We realized the importance of teamwork and communication in achieving our goals. This experience taught us that by working together and being open to learning from others, we can create meaningful projects that contribute to the unde...

As I look back on the third quarter, I can't help but feel grateful for all that I have learned. From mastering CBR to understanding HTML lists and frames, each lesson has been a stepping stone in my educational journey. Despite facing challenges along the way, I am thankful for the opportunity to revisit and reinforce my knowledge, not just in the third quarter but also in the last one.  I am filled with gratitude towards God for guiding me through this quarter and granting me the chance to excel once again. His blessings have been evident in every step of my learning process, giving me the strength and perseverance to overcome any obstacles that came my way. With faith as my anchor, I have been able to navigate through the complexities of my studies with confidence and determination. Furthermore, I am deeply appreciative of the support and assistance provided by my friends during times of difficulty. Their willingness to lend a helping hand and explain concepts when I st...

National Women's Month

Image
In many countries, March is a special time to celebrate National Women's Month. It's a time to honor the achievements, struggles, and contributions of women throughout history and in our everyday lives. This month reminds us that women are not just women; they are leaders, thinkers, creators, and so much more.  Firstly, National Women's Month is about recognizing the diverse roles that women play in society. Women are not limited to one job or one role. They are mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, teachers, doctors, engineers, and CEOs. They contribute to every aspect of life, from the home to the workplace, from the community to the world stage. Secondly, National Women's Month is a time to acknowledge the challenges that women face. Despite progress, women still encounter barriers such as discrimination, inequality, and violence. This month serves as a reminder that we must continue to work towards a world where all women have equal rights and opportunities.  Moreo...

High School Day

Image
High school days are special, filled with laughter, friendships, and unforgettable moments. This year, our beloved school, ISNHS, celebrated its 122nd High School Day with joy and excitement. It was a day filled with parades, dances, and music, bringing together students from grades 7 to 10 for a day to remember. The festivities began with a lively parade through the streets of Vigan. Decked out in our school colors, we marched proudly, waving banners and cheering along the way. It was my first time joining the parade, and the experience was exhilarating. Walking alongside my friends, I felt a sense of belonging and pride in representing our school.  Back at school, the celebrations continued with dance performances from students in grades 7 to 10. From graceful routines to energetic dances, the atmosphere was electric. It was my first and last time participating in this event, as next year I'll be moving on to grade 11. So, every moment felt extra special, and I gave it ...
